Hayward AquaRite 900 Power Light Not On? What to Check

You switch the system on, but the Power light stays off and the display is blank. Dont assume the salt cell has failed. Start by checking the power supply first.

Basic Checks You Can Do Yourself

All from the outside, without opening the control unit

1

Circuit Breaker

Make sure the system breaker is switched on and has not tripped.

2

Power Switch

Check that the power switch is in the ON position.

3

Timer

Check that the power timer is within its scheduled running period.

Still Not Working After These Checks?

The next steps should be carried out by an electrician or pool technician.

Step 1
Measure the incoming supply voltage
Step 2
Inspect the wiring connections
Step 3
If the supply is correct but the Power light is still off, the internal fuse may have blown. Find the cause before replacing it.

Always switch off the breaker before any maintenance. Opening the unit, measuring voltage and replacing fuses should be done by a technician.

No Power light does not mean the cell is faulty. Accurate diagnosis helps you avoid replacing parts you dont need.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does no Power light mean the salt cell is faulty?

Not necessarily. The Power light relates to the power supply to the control panel. Check the breaker, switch and timer first.

Can I replace the fuse myself?

We dont recommend it. Opening the unit, measuring voltage and replacing fuses should be done by a technician, and the cause of the blown fuse must be found first.
