Product Overview
WINWINPOOL UNITHANE W-4000 is a high-quality, 2-component polyurethane topcoat designed for swimming pool paint systems and other coating applications requiring high durability. It produces a beautiful, glossy paint film that resists abrasion, water, and weathering, and can be used both indoors and outdoors. Supplied in a 3-litre kit consisting of 2.4 litres of Part A and 0.6 litres of Part B, mixed at a 4:1 ratio by volume. Use together with WINWINPOOL Thinner W-M-22 and, for best results, pair with WINWINPOOL Concrete Sealer 2 Part (code FBCSLG0000-W) as a primer.

Detailed Surface Preparation
- New concrete should be at least 28 days old, or fully cured, before starting the paint work
- Check that the surface is sound, with no dusting or crumbling
- Open up the concrete surface using a suitable mechanical grinding or abrasion method
- Remove all dust, oil, curing compound, and other contaminants
- Repair cracks, holes, and any damaged concrete areas
- Ensure the surface is completely dry before applying the primer
- Apply the Concrete Sealer before applying the W-4000 topcoat
- Drain the water and allow the surface to fully dry
- Remove algae, mould, chlorine and salt residue, and grease
- Grind or strip away any cracked, blistered, flaking, or poorly adhered old paint
- Sand any well-adhered existing paint to roughen it and improve adhesion of the new system
- Clean the surface thoroughly and allow it to fully dry
- Repair cracks and damaged areas, then test adhesion on a small area first
- Apply a primer appropriate to the surface condition before applying the W-4000 topcoat
- Remove all rust, oil, dust, and deteriorated old paint
- Clean the surface and create an appropriate level of roughness
- Apply a primer suited to the specific metal type
- Steel, aluminium, and zinc-coated metals may each require a different primer consult our technical team before use
- Apply the W-4000 topcoat in the specified number of coats
Surface & Environmental Requirements During Application
Mixing Procedure & Ratios
- Open Part A and stir the paint thoroughly to a uniform consistency
- Add Part B into Part A at a 4:1 ratio by volume
- Mix thoroughly until fully blended, making sure to stir the bottom and edges of the container
- If viscosity adjustment is needed, add Thinner W-M-22 only after Part A and Part B have been mixed together
- Add up to approximately 010% thinner by volume, depending on the application method, temperature, and site conditions
- Use the mixed paint within approximately 4 hours at 30°C
- Do not add thinner to extend pot life once the paint begins to thicken
- Do not pour any dispensed paint back into the original container
Using WINWINPOOL Thinner W-M-22
Dilution rate of 010% by volume (this is the maximum thinner is not always required). Use only this specific thinner. Other thinners may cause the paint to be incompatible, curdle, or damage the finished film.
Adding too much thinner can result in a thin film, sagging, reduced coverage, and slower curing.

Drying times are approximate and may vary depending on film thickness, humidity, and ventilation. Do not fill the pool with water or expose the film to pool chemicals before it is fully cured.
