Main Functions of the Skimmer

• Removes Surface Debris: Its primary function is to draw in water and floating debris—such as leaves, twigs, hair, sunscreen residue, and dust—removing them from the surface before they have a chance to sink to the bottom of the pool.
• Feeds the Filtration System: The water drawn in passes through a Skimmer Basket, which traps larger debris first. The water then flows into the pump and filter tank for further purification.
• Promotes Water Circulation: It serves as the exit point for water to enter the filtration process. Once cleaned, the water is sent back into the pool via the Return Jets. This creates thorough water circulation throughout the pool and assists in the even distribution of pool chemicals.
