A Hayward DE7220 D.E. filter and a Hayward Super II 3 HP / 220V pump mounted on one stainless steel cart, with a complete set of vacuum and brushing tools. Roll it to any point around a large pool.

Vacuum through the filter, then return the water

Vacuumed water is not dumped. Debris stays in the D.E. filter and the filtered water flows back into the pool, cutting the water loss of vacuuming to waste.

The filter must be used with D.E. powder and cleaned according to the manufacturer's manual. The WINWINPOOL team can advise on the D.E. quantity and coating procedure for the DE7220.

How to use it

General guidance. Read the Hayward manual before operating.

1. 1Park the cart on firm, level ground near the pool edge, away from splash reaching the electrical box.
2. 2Attach the vacuum head to the pole and hose, then submerge the hose until it fills with water to purge the air.
3. 3Connect the hose to the vacuum pipe set on the pump suction side and place the return line in the pool.
4. 4Plug in, switch on the breaker and start the pump. Coat the filter with D.E. per the manual before vacuuming.
5. 5Move the vacuum head slowly in overlapping passes so sediment doesn't cloud up. Brush stained areas with the Laswim brush first.

Maintenance

Regular care keeps the filter working at full efficiency and extends equipment life.

• Watch the filter pressure gauge. When pressure rises well above the clean starting reading, clean the filter and replace the D.E. per the manual.
• Empty the pump strainer basket after each use to keep suction strong.
• Never run the pump dry; this can damage the seal and internal parts.
• Rinse the hose, vacuum head and brush with clean water and dry before storage.
• Check the cable, plug and breaker box before every use, and store the cart out of sun and rain.
