AquaBiome Media (Biological Filter Media)

Engineered plastic biological filter media is the most efficient way to remove toxins like ammonia. The media facilitates the conversion of ammonia into nitrites, and subsequently into nitrates, which serve as essential nutrients for aquatic plants. This naturally occurring process is known as the "Nitrogen Cycle." It relies on natural bacteria that colonize the biological filter media, thriving in an environment with high exposure to food and oxygen.
