Test Water Before Use
Use a Test Kit or Test Strip to measure pH (7.2 - 7.6), Free Chlorine (< 1.0 ppm before adding), and Alkalinity (80 - 120 ppm).

Choose the Right Dispensing Method
Two recommended methods: (1) Use a Floating Feeder / Chlorine Dispenser and adjust the dissolving rate, (2) Place in a Skimmer basket where the filtration system flows water over the tablets.

Do Not Throw Directly Into the Pool
Do not throw chlorine tablets directly into the pool, as this creates localized high chlorine concentrations that may damage pool tiles or surfaces.

Check Water After 4 - 6 Hours
Retest Free Chlorine levels. It should be between 1.0 - 3.0 ppm. If it is below 1.0 ppm, add more. If above 5 ppm, wait for the level to drop before swimming.
