Basic pH and chlorine test kit - Basic Line

The pool tester is used to determine the content of free chlorine and the pH level in the pool water manually using liquids.

Instructions for conducting the test:

   Fill both compartments of the dispenser to the line with water from the pool (it is recommended to take water from a depth of 20-30 cm).
Add 5 drops of pH reagent to the left compartment of the dispenser (marked pH).
Add 5 drops of chlore reagent to the right compartment of the dispenser (marked chlore).
Seal both compartments and shake the tester vigorously until the resulting solutions are uniformly colored.
As a result of these four operations, the water will be colored depending on the pH level and the concentration of free chlorine.

To determine the pH level and free chlorine concentration, it is necessary to compare the colors obtained in each of the tester compartments with the corresponding color scales.

Recommended values:

pH = 7.0 – 7.4

Chlorine = not less than 0.5 mg/l

Important: pH and chlorine must be measured at least once a week. Before changing the chlorine concentration, the pH parameter must first be set within the specified limits. Store reagents in a cool place.

Composition: pH reagent: phenolphthalein. Chlorine reagent: dimethylbenzidine solution.
